Business faculty named distinguished fellows

Mike Crum, Patricia Daugherty and the late Richard (Dick) Post, professor emeriti in supply chain management, were named to the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals' inaugural class of distinguished fellows. This is the highest honor a scholar can receive from the 9,000-member council. The new program recognizes academic scholars who have provided exemplary contributions to the field of logistics and supply chain management.

Rodde named distinguished alumnus

James Rodde, Louise Moen Hamilton Professor of Music and director of choral activities in the department of music and theatre, was named a Distinguished Alumnus this fall by Augsburg College, Minneapolis, where Rodde earned a bachelor's degree (1974) in music education. He then completed his M.A. and D.M.A. degrees in choral conducting at the University of Iowa.

 

Extension collaborative captures national award

The nine-university Growing Together Multi-State Collaborative, of which ISU Extension and Outreach is a founding member, received the 2023 Excellence in Extension Team Award from the U.S. Department of Agriculture's National Institute of Food and Agriculture, Cooperative Extension and the Association of Public and Land-grant Universities. The award recognizes excellence of an extension team in performing the work of extension research, technical assistance and outreach education. Over the last three years, the multi-state collaborative has donated more than 600,000 pounds of fresh produce to 878 food distribution sites serving 375,000 clients.
