Leath: FY16 budget will be shaped by four priorities
Iowa State's operating budget for the year that begins next July will be shaped by the four broad priorities President Steven Leath first presented two years ago during his installation. Leath also asked his senior VPs to invest in the May action plans of two standing presidential work groups.
Senate approves post-tenure review changes
Policy changes, including the post-tenure review procedures, were approved at the Dec. 9 Faculty Senate meeting. Two new academic programs also were given the go-ahead.
Lyon named next Reiman Gardens director
Edward Lyon, director of Allen Centennial Gardens in Madison, Wisconsin, has been named the next director of Reiman Gardens. He begins his new post on Jan. 20, 2015, succeeding Teresa McLaughlin.
