Shipment fire puts library preservation staff to work
Thirty books being shipped out from the University Library were onboard a postal truck that caught fire this summer. Preservation staff salvaged several of them from water, smoke and fire damage.
Two selected for faculty fellowships
Lisa Larson and Surya Mallapragada were named to faculty fellowships in the office of the senior vice president and provost. Larson, professor in psychology, will serve as the ISU Advance fellow. Mallapragada, professor in chemical and biological engineering, and materials science and engineering, will seek to increase national recognition for top ISU faculty.
