Senate approves term faculty tracks
Changes two years in the making became a reality at the May 1 Faculty Senate meeting. A new professor of practice track and revised ranks for instructional positions were among the approved changes for term faculty.
Simpson named registrar
Mark Simpson will begin his duties as registrar May 21. He comes to Iowa State from the University of Utah, where he serves as director of enterprise student systems.
Second largest class is set to graduate this weekend
An estimated 5,047 students are completing degrees from Iowa State this semester and many of them will participate in graduation festivities May 3-5. They make up the second largest graduating class on record.

Visitors to Hilton Coliseum for commencement this weekend may notice the beginnings of a project to reconstruct the arena's sidewalks and parking lots, adding vehicle capacity and constructing a new driveway connecting to Lincoln Way.
