State employees receive two paid holidays for their efforts
As a show of appreciation for state employees' hard work and perseverance through a pandemic and the August derecho storm, Gov. Kim Reynolds awarded them two additional paid holidays. Iowa State will use the holidays Nov. 30 and Dec. 1.

Looking for a way to help students who may miss class, history professor Stacy Cordery had them form triads at the beginning of the semester. Students who miss the in-person class can get notes and help from their pod members to stay connected and up to date.
Professional development resource offered to campus community
Previously a resource for faculty professional development, the National Center for Faculty Development and Diversity's programming has been extended to staff, graduate students and postdoctoral scholars.
